CS-Balloon: Cleanroom Air Adjustor
CS-Balloon is an air adjustor set at air supply port for broadening slow air stream to overall area equally.
A sufficient amount of clean air is required to maitain a clean environment in the cleanroom. Some users install FFUs that can supply large amount of air to provide a clean room with sufficient clean air. However, if the supply port’s wind speed is a too fast, it may lead to air turbulence, which possibly causes undesirable contaminant problem.
For example, when the air from FFU goes straight to the floor firmly, the dust nearby may be blown up and float with the air stream. If there are any workpieces downstream, they probably are contaminated. Therefore, keeping low velocity of the air stream is necessary for a cleanroom.
Below drawing shows the air stream’s direction from FFU, comparing “Without CS-balloon” and “With CS-balloon”.
In the case without CS-Balloon, the air from supply port is so strong that removes all mist under FFU. Simultaneously, there is a lot of mist stays beside the air route, and it does not broaden around. On the other hand, when we install CS-Balloon at the air supply port, air from the port broadens weak air stream around the nearby area relatively. Equally, that is desirable airflow in the cleanroom.
